×Nissan Australia2026 · eLearning Development Proposal
Six connected service modules, redesigned from source material into one clear, cohesive and engaging learning experience.
Instructional design led. Scenario driven. Built for the dealership service floor.
Executive summary
Buddy has reviewed the 6 supplied NSSW NEXT documents and counted 17,929 words, representing an estimated 152 learning minutes across the 6 modules.
The source materials contain valuable service processes, customer behaviours and operational guidance, but will benefit from an instructional design pass before production.
Buddy will work with Nissan to organise the content, validate references to the 15 Key Actions, incorporate relevant existing videos and use the original modules as a reference point where helpful.
The goal is not simply to reproduce the Word documents. The goal is to transform them into a clear, cohesive and engaging learning journey.

Embedded visuals
Estimated learning duration is based on approximately 120 source words per learning minute. This is a planning assumption that allows for reading, narration, navigation, reflection and interaction. Final duration will be confirmed through instructional design and storyboard approval.
View supplied documentsEstimated minutes use approximately 120 source words per learning minute, giving about 149 minutes across the programme, or 152 estimated minutes once each module is rounded up. Each module is then placed in the next applicable submitted band of 25, 40 or 60 minutes. Service Marketing is approximately 43 minutes, so it sits in the 60-minute band.
Module 1 uses the confirmed Microsoft Word count of 5,157 words. Remaining word counts are based on the supplied final files and will be reconfirmed during project commencement.
Instructional design
The supplied documents are comprehensive, but some material may require reorganisation, consolidation or clarification. Buddy will complete an instructional design pass before development to create a logical learning experience across all six modules.
Reorganise haphazard or overlapping material into a logical sequence.
Identify repetition and combine related information without losing required meaning.
Confirm what learners need to know, do and demonstrate in each module.
Convert customer service behaviours and dealership decisions into realistic practice activities.
Create meaningful checks that measure application rather than simple recall.
Cross-check references and numbering against the approved 15 Key Actions booklet.
The instructional design process may recommend moving detailed reference material into downloadable resources or optional exploration panels. This can reduce cognitive load while keeping important information available.

Duration protection
The current investment is based on an estimated 152 learning minutes, priced in Nissan's submitted 25, 40 and 60 minute development bands. Buddy will complete an instructional design audit before development. If restructuring, additional supplied material or video content materially changes the approved learning duration, the final investment will be reconciled using the agreed per-output-minute rate.
Validation
The six modules refer throughout to Nissan's 15 Key Actions. Nissan has advised that the numbering within the current Word documents may not align with the latest booklet.
Before storyboarding is finalised, Buddy will

Final labels and descriptions will be populated from the approved booklet.
Reference material
Existing assets are valuable context. Buddy will use them to understand what already works, then improve clarity, engagement and consistency.
The original modules can help Buddy understand the existing learning structure, historical design decisions, assessments and technical configuration.
Recommended reference inputSupplied videos will be reviewed for relevance, quality, duration and opportunities for integration.
The latest approved booklet will become the source of truth for action names, numbering and cross-module references.
Buddy recommends receiving the original SCORM packages. They will be treated as reference material rather than a design limitation. The new experience should retain what remains useful while improving clarity, engagement, accessibility and consistency.

Buddy concept exploration
Recent Buddy concepts demonstrate how character, storytelling and memorable visual systems can make digital learning feel more human.
Live Buddy concepts at each build level, so Nissan can see exactly what the Rise, Storyline and custom HTML pathways look and feel like before choosing one.
This concept was created to show how Articulate Rise can be elevated into something far more engaging, polished, and modern than a standard module. Built around body electrical systems, it uses clean visual design, microlearning structure, audio support, and strong pacing to make technical knowledge easier to absorb. The concept proves that even at the most cost effective level, Nissan can still deliver learning that feels premium, clear, and enjoyable to complete.
Rise pathway — fixed band pricing from AUD $2,302 per module
This concept refreshes a traditionally dry topic with a cleaner, more modern, and more approachable experience. Because our core team has worked on this type of Nissan course before, the concept shows how existing content can be reimagined with better pacing, stronger visual hierarchy, and a more confident digital feel. The result is something more approachable, more engaging, and more in tune with the future facing nature of Nissan's product and technical learning.
Rise pathway — fixed band pricing from AUD $2,302 per module
This concept was designed to show a more premium and contemporary direction for Storyline within the Nissan environment. It brings together modern Nissan inspired typography, stronger interaction design, and scenario based learning with a more creative edge. The final experience feels more dynamic, more polished, and more memorable, while still being practical enough for real production use. It also demonstrates how humour, gamified interactions, and scenario choice can be used to create stronger learner interest and better knowledge application.
Storyline pathway — fixed band pricing from AUD $6,952 per module
This concept shows how Storyline can deliver a product module that feels modern, relevant, and distinctly Australian. It combines cost effective AI assisted imagery, structured scenarios, and interactive knowledge games to make the learning more memorable and enjoyable. The tone has personality, the design feels more current, and the overall experience demonstrates how product training can move beyond static information into something more engaging and brand relevant.
Storyline pathway — fixed band pricing from AUD $6,952 per module
This concept is a bold, highly creative take on product learning, designed to show how Nissan can break from expected formats and create something truly memorable. Inspired by retro racing culture and a futuristic cell shaded visual style, it blends humour, gamification, and personality into a concept that feels distinctive and future ready. It is highly adaptable, easy to evolve over time, and demonstrates how learning can feel more like entertainment without losing its instructional purpose.
Storyline pathway — fixed band pricing from AUD $6,952 per module
Nissan TV is a premium custom HTML concept built to feel more like a modern streaming platform than a traditional learning module. Using an episode based Nissan+ style approach, it organises learning into highly engaging microlearning experiences that blend video, audio, scenario based learning, and knowledge checks in one cohesive environment. It also showcases the full strength of OPAL, including responsiveness, search, translation support, review functionality, and edit capabilities for administrators. This is a concept designed to show how Nissan learning could become a true digital ecosystem rather than a collection of standalone modules.
Custom HTML pathway — fixed band pricing from AUD $13,927 per module
This concept was created to showcase how Nissan can use Unity and XR-style gamified learning to deliver a more immersive and memorable product experience. Built as a fully 3D interactive environment, it allows learners to discover new Nissan models in a more spatial, hands-on way, exploring vehicles such as the Navara and Pathfinder up close from multiple angles. Rather than simply reading about features, users can move through a premium digital space, interact with the vehicle, and build stronger familiarity through exploration, engagement, and visual discovery. The concept demonstrates how short-form immersive learning can create greater energy around new models while also improving feature understanding and product confidence.

1. Count the supplied content
All supplied text across the 6 final documents was counted: 17,929 words in total.
2. Convert words to learning minutes
At approximately 120 words per learning minute, the programme is about 149 minutes, or 152 estimated minutes across the 6 modules once each is rounded up.
3. Allocate each module to a band
Each module falls into the next applicable submitted band of 25, 40 or 60 minutes. Service Marketing is approximately 43 minutes, so it sits in the 60-minute band.
4. Total the fixed band prices
The module band prices are added together to give the programme investment for the chosen build level. No per-minute reconciliation applies inside a band.
| Submitted band | Rise | Storyline | Custom HTML |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 25 minutes | $2,302 | $6,952 | $13,927 |
| Up to 40 minutes | $3,456 | $10,440 | $20,916 |
| Up to 60 minutes | $4,798 | $14,488 | $29,023 |
Pricing protection: if instructional design reduces or increases a module's duration but it stays inside the same band, the price does not change. Only a move into a different band changes that module's price, and any change is agreed with Nissan in writing before build.
Important pricing note
The investment is built from Nissan's submitted BAFO development bands (25, 40 and 60 minutes) rather than a per-minute rate.
The current allocation reflects an estimated 152 minutes across the 6 modules. Buddy will complete an instructional design audit before development, and any module that moves into a different band will be confirmed with Nissan in writing before build.

Buddy's recommendation
NSSW NEXT is a human-centred programme. It is about how service staff greet, listen, explain and follow up with real customers, not simply what the process says.
Storyline lets us build that behaviour into the learning: branching customer conversations, realistic dealership scenarios, decision points with consequences, and custom graphics built around Nissan's people and environments.
It gives the strongest learning outcome per dollar of the three pathways, and it is the pathway Buddy recommends for all six modules.
Custom HTML efficiency
Most of the Custom HTML investment sits in the first module, where the theme, component library, navigation, interaction patterns and responsive framework are all built from scratch. That first build is roughly 1.5 times the cost of the same module in Storyline.
Once that theme exists, modules two to six reuse it. Each subsequent module is largely content, media and interaction assembly inside a system Nissan already owns, so the effective cost per module falls sharply as the programme progresses.
Across all six NSSW NEXT modules, and especially across future modules beyond this programme, that reuse can bring the effective cost of Custom HTML close to a Storyline programme while delivering a premium, fully branded and Nissan-owned learning platform.
Indicative commercial guidance only. A staged Custom HTML proposal with the theme build isolated as its own line item can be prepared on request.
